It is rather unfortunate that we couldn't go home for break, but we can always make the most of it. We're making snowmen out of cotton balls and felt in Ravenclaw and everyone is welcome to join us. It's a lot fun, and I love doing crafty sort of things.
The downside, besides not going home, is not getting mail. I always look so forward to the Hookum art exchange, and now no new art coming into the castle. Unless I make some for myself of course. That's quite the downside really.

Halloween is lovely and everyone's fancy dress was lovely as well. I was part of Benjy's pirate crew, we did not pillage though because that would have been wrong.

I'm going to keep knitting on the world's longest scarf and see how much length we got on it. I bet's its going to be at least four feet.

I responded to Professor Kent's entry and brought up the memorial. Vee thought it was a rather good idea. I think we should try and put something together, even if it's something small. I can start maybe doing a mural for her, or maybe we could do a portrait. Something nice for her memory.

Freya's passing was a terrible tragedy and my heart goes out to her family. It reminds us what's important in these sort of times. If my housemates need anything, I'm always here for you.

I don't understand the world. I don't understand how someone could hurt someone's pets. First the owls and now Cameron Kerrigan's cat. I love cats, I think they're the most noble creatures and they're my favourite animals. It made me want to hug Dylan for hours. I just don't want to believe that bad things happen. I still want to believe that good things happen and that the world is good and not evil. I like having hope, and wanting to see the good in people. That's just who I am. I don't want to change that just yet.

Nick sent another picture, and so to be fair, I have to send him back something. I made weird cupcakes yesterday, so I think I'll just take a picture and send that to him. I hope he understand it's not my best work.

I think I'm going to work on the world's longest scarf now. It's very long and I hope my brother wears it mummy style.

Im quite pleased to see we have a Hogsmeade weekend on the horizon. I like being able to get out of the castle and wander honestly. And I want new yarn, I've knitting quite a bit this week. Knitting relaxes me, its love to sit down and knit because it's repetitive. And you get something wonderful out of yarn, I find that to be beautiful.

I always miss summer just a little bit when we get back to school. Seeing the train is definitely the nail in the coffin of the holiday. It was a rather busy at home, my brother Nick moved out of our house in Chelsea, and into his own place in Camden. My parents are still going to rent him studio space, because the light is lovely, and he's going to have a show soon. Very lovely really.
We spent a good bit of the summer in Paris visiting Gabi, she is just getting settled, and my parents wanted to make sure her flat is all right and everything. Paris was so lovely, the food was amazing, the museum were great. My brother did a lot of work there, he seemed really inspired, I'm excited to see what it comes up. He said he's going to send me a collage, with little pieces every week so I can put them all together myself. It was a nice summer, I was a little sad to say goodbye to Paris I have to admit.
Sock monster. That's a new one. Never a dull moment Hogwarts, can't expect anything less.
